Kumasi, May 28, GNA – Antoakrom and Viral Disease Control Unit (CSSVDCU) of the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) at the Ridge Park in Kumai.
For their prize, they received a trophy and set of football jersey.
Tepa was the runner-up in the one day event that brought together more than 400 competitors from all the districts of the unit in the Ashanti Region.
They competed in soccer, weightlifting, draught, sack race, tug of war, eating competition and health screening.
The goal was to promote the good health of the employees and unity among them.
Additionally, it provided an opportunity for the selection of a regional team for the Board's inter-departmental competition to be held at Akyem-Tafo, later in the year.
Mr Francis Manu-Adabor, Technical Manager, Cartography, praised the participants for the high display of sportsmanship and discipline.
He encouraged them to continue to physically exercise their bodies to keep them healthy and enhance productivity.
