Henry Tetteh Djangmah maintained the rider with the best time award (yellow jersey) after stage 10.
He did not however win the penultimate stage, but he placed himself in poll position to win the tour.
Victor Cudjoe of all Stars who is geared up to spring a surprise on the final day held on to his white jersey for being the best youngest rider so far.
He is closely behind Tetteh-Djanmah by 24 seconds reducing Henry's lead by 4 seconds.
'I'm well prepared for stage 11 and anything could happen in my favour, the road will decide' he said, brimming with confident.
The lifeline of Young stars, Samuel Anim is still unstoppable in terms of earning points and being the most aggressive rider. After stage 10, no cyclist seems like taking away the red and green jersey from him. When asked his strategy to keep his jerseys to the tail end of the competition he said, 'As for these jerseys don't worry, they are safe. I'll keep fighting for the yellow'.
At the end of the 'two in one stage, from Ada to Dzodze and from Denu back to Ada, Emmanuel Sackey of All Stars was too hot to contend with.
He won the first phase of the stage: Ada to Dzodze (75km) with a time of 1:40:03. He was closely followed by Aminu Mohammed Osman the live wire of Pace Setters who is also the national cycling team captain. He had a time of 1:40:04. Newton Kofi of quick steps came third.
The second phase: Denu to Ada (90km) saw Emmanuel Sackey repeating his pace to come first ahead of Anthony Boakye of River Pack (Sunyani) and John Zormelo of quick steps in second and third positions respectively.
From Ada to Dzodze, Samuel Anim took a lead of 150m after 7km but it did not last ten minutes; the bunch caught up with him.
At Sokpoe, just before the Volta lake, Henry sent out instructions to his 'lynch man' Abdul Razak Umar Jnr who is one of his domestique (servants) to break away.
Samuel Anim was quickly alerted and he reacted by powering ahead of Razak to win the first 'point chaud' (hot spot) to increase his points build up for the green jersey.
After the first hot spot, Samuel then attacked the wind: (riding against the wind directly). Henry reacted by calling some of his team mates to also attack the wind as he rode behind the newly formed wind resistance with less effort.
However, Samuel riding against the wind was faster than Henry and his domestique so he instructed Razak to chase Samuel but Razak did not match the pace of a very determined Samuel Anim who won the second 'point chaud'.
After the second point chaud, Samuel and Razak slowed down for the peloton to catch up in other to conserve energy.
Six riders broke away from the main peloton (main group) at Akatsi. They included former yellow jersey holder: Sackey Isaac, Newton Kofi and William Nartey. Aminu Mohammed and Emmanuel Sackey were also part of the break away. The red, yellow, green and white jersey holders remained with the peloton because those who broke away were not threats to their jerseys. All the members of the best team (blue jersey) : Die Hard also stayed with the peloton to protect the Yellow Jersey who is a member of their team. The breakaway group led to the end of the race at Dzodze. Emmanuel sackey, Aminu Mohammed and Newton Kofi came first, second and third respectively.
The race from Denu to Ada was a very windy 90km ride. Samuel Anim was at his best again attacking the wind without a shield. Henry was also keeping an eagle eye on Victor Cudjoe the main threat to his yellow jersey. Samuel Anim was challenged by Henry's 'lynch man' Razak but the lad was beaten by Samuel to the hot spot.
Razak picked himself and challenged strongly for the second hot spot and he beat Samuel to it.
The peloton then rode together to protect each other against the wind, until 5 km to Ada. Emmanuel Sackey who had won the first phase again distinguished him by wining phase two-Denu to Ada
The 10th stage was favored by good weather and a smooth road this made the race very pacey. Despite the good display by Emmanuel, winning two phases of stage 10, it was not good enough to win any of jerseys. He was however hopeful he would cause an upset during the last stage. 'Tomorrow I'll do my best so watch out for me'.
