
Seventeen out of the 30 invited players have reported for the Black Stars' first training session ahead of the Nations and World Cup double header, next month.
All the three local based goal keepers- Robert Dabuo, Daniel Adjei, Ernest Sowah attended the session, with Isaac Vorsah, Derek Boateng, Samuel Inkoom, Daniel Opare, Agyemang Badu representing the core of the foreign based players present.
Other players include, Dominic Adiyiah, Jerry Akaminko, Daniel Addo, Rashid Sumaila, Solomon Asante, Richard Kissi Boateng.
The rest are Ben Acheampong, Emmanuel Clottey and Richard Mpong.
Joy Sports' Tony Bebli who was present at the Accra Sports Stadium venue for the training session said the players are upbeat about the training with a high sense of competition for places already simmering.
Coach Akwasi Appiah is expected to announce a final list of 23 players before the team moves to Kumasi to play Lesotho in the Nations Cup qualifier.
According to Bebli some of the invited players will be arriving in the country tonight from their bases in Europe to join the team.
