Hearts of Oak were all smiles at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday after beating 10-man Wassaman 3-0 in the Glo Premier League.
The defeat further deepens the relegation woes of the premiership debutants, who have a game in hand despite the season left with three matches remaining.
Hearts opened the scoring on the half hour mark when Mahatma Otoo curled a beautiful ball past goalkeeper Stephen Ahorlu.
Wassaman managed to prevent the Phobians from adding up to their lead to end the first half one-nil down.
Eight minutes after the interval, Wassaman's Abdul Bashiru was sent off for an off-the-ball incident.
The Phobians took advantage of their numerical strength as Uriah Asante doubled their lead in the 66th minute.
Captain Godwin Osei Bonsu scored his debut goal of the season nine minutes later from the spot to hand Hearts a 3-0 win which lifts them to second on the table.
