Kotoko In Lions Den

Uncrowned champions Asante Kotoko battle struggling Heart of Lions in their mid-week Glo Premier League clash at Kpando today.

Kotoko appear favourites despite playing on foreign land, considering their current sharp form, vis-à-vis their opponent's inconsistencies this season.

Lions return from Wa to their base empty handed after a 0-1 loss against Wa All Stars on Sunday, and they seem battle-ready to give Kotoko a stiff opposition.

The likelihood of a second streak loss in a space of four days seems to have heightened confidence in camp.

But that will be possible if Coach Maxwell Konadu's regulars will be rested for the second tier to take their place. Even that will be a herculean task, taking into account the richness of Kotoko's bench.

Badly-bruised Accra Hearts of Oak also return to their Accra Stadium base after failing to pick a point against New Edubiase, and will be looking to make amends when they host bottom-placed Wassaman United.

Middle-placed Liberty Professionals will play as guests of Tema Youth at the Tema Park, while Berekum Arsenals host Ebusua Dwarfs at the Golden City Park.

Fifth-placed Medeama SC will welcome CAF Champions League campaigners Berekum Chelsea to the Tarkwa T&A Park, with Bechem United sorting things out with All Stars.

Tomorrow at the Accra Sports Stadium, Edubiase will be the guests of Mighty Jets.
