Chelsea's complaint against referee dismissed

By Ghana FA

The Match Review Panel of the Ghana Football Association has dismissed a complaint by Berekum Chelsea that referee Theresa Bremansu disallowed a perfect goal scored by their player Prince Arkoh.

The decision of the Match Review Panel has also been upheld by the Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association.

The Match Review Panel ruled that Bremansu "acted rightly by disallowing the goal because the clip on the match as viewed by the GFA Match Review Committee indicated that at the time Prince Arkoh of Berekum Chelsea kicked the ball into Bechem United's goal-post there was another ball on the field of play also within the referee's line of vision."

Bremansu has therefore been exonerated from any wrong interpretation of the laws of the game as she rightly disallowed the goal.
