Injured Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Philemon Maccarthy will return to the posts sooner than expected, DAILY GUIDE SPORTS understands.
The young goal stopper suffered shipwreck during the Kotoko-Hearts epic clash at the Baba Yara Stadium barely a week ago.
He left the pitch in tears mid-way after sustaining an injury to the ring finger when he pushed a Daniel Nii Adjei grounder to safety at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Hearts goalkeepers' trainer Abukari Damba has revealed in an interview: 'We all thought it was a compound fracture, but the X-Ray report has revealed that it is only a blister.
'He will miss some few games but will return sooner than expected. It is only the finger that is hurt not the whole body so I will keep him on his toes till he returns,' he added.
His injury paved the way for his senior colleague Sammy Adjei in a game Hearts lost 1-2.
