Ghana's striker Asamoah Gyan has put a temporary hold on his international career with the Black Stars over what he described as unwarranted criticism on him.

A confidante of Gyan, Dauda Tetteh, confirmed to Joy Sports' Ernest Koranteng on Saturday that the player has communicated his decision to the Ghana Football Association.
