30.11.2011 LISTEN

The Porcupine Warriors Kumasi Asante Kotoko were handed their first defeat in the nine week old Glo premiership but still maintained top spot on the league log.

New Edubiase jealously defended a first half goal against Kotoko forcing a painful defeat down the throats of the Porcupine Warriors.

Rivals Hearts of Oak failed to take advantage of the Kotoko slip, advertising an unconvincing goalless drawn game against Aduana Stars in Accra.

Mahatma Otoo squandered a first half penalty denying the Phobians another spell on top of the league table.

In Cape Coast Abusua Dwarfs held defending champions Berekum Chelsea to another goalless drawn game. Chelsea had been rampage under new coach Van Der Plyum and the point would be crucial for the Cape Coasters.

The result means Chelsea, and Hearts will join Kotoko on the summit of the league with 18 points but the latter have superior goal difference.

At the Golden City Park, Berekum Arsenals were 3-2 winners over Medeama. Louis Agyemang was in emphatic form scoring a brace for Medeama but was unable to rescue a point from the clash.
