The newly-inducted 14 teammates of the MTN Soccer Academy Reloaded 5 have spent just nine days in the house but already, they have shown signs of great potential, having so far impressed their two young managers, David Duncan and Augustine Arhinful.
The 14 have already embarked on a series of activities, and they were a delight to watch at the Aquinas Park, Labone in Accra during training sessions which began last Monday.
They crowned last week's activities with a football game against a side guided by former Ghana International Yaw Preko, and although they lost 1-2, they demonstrated brilliance and high level tactical prowess at the Legon Park.
Preko spoke well of the team in a post-match interview saying, 'This team has great potential, they have only been assembled for a few days but they have demonstrated great footworks.'
Earlier in the week, the 14 teammates visited the Krew Salon near Airport for grooming and thereafter visited the Photo Club for a photo session.
On Friday evening, they partook in the Vision Board exercise where each teammate spelt out his vision for his soccer career.
Last Saturday saw them making a shout-out presentation to their relatives and friends.
According to the organizers of the soccer reality show, Optimum Media Prime (OMP), beginning tomorrow Wednesday to Friday, the teammates will appear live on Metro TV from 6:30 to 7pm for a series of activities.
An OMP official revealed that 'they will engage in a five-a-side soccer competition, a can do spirit match, selection of captain of the week, among other exciting activities.'
The 80-day soccer event is being sponsored by MTN and supported by Auto Plaza, sole distributors of Hyundai vehicles in Ghana.
