Berekum Chelsea have sacked coach Steve Pollack seconds after suffering a 1-0 home defeat to Medeama SC on Sunday, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

The Englishman was only signed on during the off-season with the prime aim of retaining the league title but management have decided to severe the one-year contract prematurely following the unimpressive start to the season.

The defending champions have managed only a solitary win in the four league outings and are currently lying mid-table in the league with just five points out of a possible twelve.
