Accra ,ct 30, GNA -Ghana has been handed a fairly difficult group in the 2012 Cup of Nations to be co-hosted by Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.
Ghana was been placed in Group D, with countries like Mali, Guinea and Bostwana after a draw conducted in Equatorial Guinea, by the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) over the weekend.
Ghana, one of the highly tipped nations to win the competition, would be based in Franceville, Gabon as they seek to annex the trophy for the first time after more than three decades in the wilderness.
In Group A, host nation Equatorial Guinea would square it off with troubled Libya, in-form Senegal and sensational Zambia and they would based in Bata, Equatorial Guinea.
One of tournament favourites Cote d' Ivoire would pitch camp in Malabo, the capital of Equatorial Guinea, together with Sudan, Burkina Faso and Angola, whilst cost-host Gabon battles Niger, Morocco and Tunisia in Libreville, Gabon in Group C.
