Ghana will be represented in this year's Tour Du Faso from the 21st-30th of October 2011 which happens to be the biggest African Cycling Event on the International Cycling Union (UCI) calendar.
A contingent of 6 cyclists and 3 officials will embark on that mission to make Ghana proud. Over 30 countries comprising 240 cyclists from various African countries and Europe will flex their pedal muscles at this year's tour which will see them placing respectably in the Africa rankings.
Team Ghana comprises of Aminu Mohammed, Joseph Kudakpor, Samuel Anim, Emmanuel Obour, Henry Tetteh Djangmah and Nuru Pardie Alhassan.
The contingent will be led by the Secretary–General of the Cycling Federation Mr. Williams Kyei, Communication Director, Dennis Kweku Moore and Rudolf Mensah as the Team Coach/Mechanic.
The contingent is expected to leave on Tuesday 18th October, 2011 to the Burkinabe Capital.
