President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi is tasking the Black Satellites to successfully defend the African Youth Championship title won two years ago.

Ghana lifted the title at the Championship for U-20 players two years ago in Rwanda for the third time in the history of the competition and would be represented at the up-coming tournament in South Africa from 17 April to 2 May.

Ahead of the team's two-week training tour of Kenya, which begins on Tuesday, the GFA President is demanding a second successive title.

“We are the defending champions for Africa and the World so you have a huge responsibility to discharge in this competition. Everybody will be looking up to you and a second place will not be even accepted. You have to repeat the feat that the team last chalked in Rwanda,” Kwesi Nyantakyi told the players after Monday's training session in Accra.

The Black Satellites, the defending champions have been paired in Group B with Nigeria, Cameroon and The Gambia.

Four teams in each group will meet in a round-robin format, with group winners and runners-up qualifying for the FIFA-organized U-20 World Cup in Colombia beginning in July.
