Sunyani, (B/A) March 30, GNA - The second round of the Brong-Ahafo Regional Second Division football league will resume on Sunday, April 3, 2011.
Mr Kwabena Munufie, Secretary of the Regional Football Association (RFA) told GNA Sports in Sunyani on Wednesday that the 76 teams taking part in the league have been grouped into nine zones to save the participating teams from traveling long distances and to cut costs.
He announced that at the end of the second round, 18 teams emerged as champions and runner-up in each of the Zone and they are expected to meet in Sunyani to participate in a Middle League competition to determine the overall Regional champion to be promoted to the national first division.
Mr Munufie has meanwhile appealed to all team managers, players and match officials to ensure fair play during the second round, cautioning that the RFA would not condone and connive with any club official, player or match official who would contravene the rules and regulations of the League.
