Minister of Youth and Sports congratulates Black Stars

Accra, March 30, GNA - The Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr Clement Kofi Humado has on behalf of Government and the sporting public sent its congratulations to the Black Stars for their performance in recent times.

It said the Black Stars emphatic 3-0 win over the Red Devils of Congo Brazzaville in their 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifier and the team's one-all drawn with the Three Lions of England at the Wembley stadium on Tuesday.

The Minister in a congratulatory message copied to GNA Sports said "The lack Stars have made every Ghanaian proud by flying high the flag of Ghana during this historic match with England and I hope and pray that the team would continue to grow from strength to strength."

Mr Humado added that the win against Congo Brazzaville was very important since it has put Ghana in pole position to qualify for the 2012 African Cup of Nations.

The Minister also thanked the Management and Technical teams of the Black Stars for the good work done so far in bringing the smiles unto the Ghanaian sporting public.

Mr Humado expressed his warmest appreciation to the teeming millions of Ghanaian fans who supported the team, especially those who went to the Wembley stadium to show their unflinching and colourful support to the Black Stars.

Mensah's comment is the best description of the game. I listened to Asa on bbc..... I was simply confused whether he watched a different game. The english never dominated the game, as claimed by Asa. May he needs to watch the 2nd half and the contribution of Derek B.
