Aduana Stars suffered a difficult start to their Caf Champions League campaign after losing 3-0 Wydad Casablanca in the first leg.

The Ghanaian champions' debut in continental football was compounded after having to play a greater part of the game with ten men.

Wydad went 2-0 up within 19 minutes with goals coming from Zidoune Houcine and Ahmed Ajeddou.

Midfielder Johnson Adomah was sent off for rough play in the 38th minute before Brazilian Tiago Fernandes sealed the game for Wydad with a 40th minute effort.

The Dormaa-based face a huge task of overturning the deficit in the second leg at home.
