Accra, July 30, GNA - Ghana will participate in the 2010 Youth Olympics Games in Singapore, next month, despite the ongoing power struggle at the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC).
A statement signed by Mr Frank Appiah, First Vice Chairman of the GOC said, Ghana's participation was facilitated by the Benson Baba led administration, following the timely intervention of Okoe Nikoi Dzanie, president of the Ghana Hockey Association (GHA).
The statement said 16 hockey players, two athletes, two swimmers and seven technical officials will be at the Games.
It added that the contingent will be sponsored by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
