
A consortium of three Ghanaian Television stations have announced they will telecast the Fifa World Cup finals live in the West African Country. The State-owned Ghana Television, Metropolitan Television and TV 3 will show 56 live; 8 delayed and 30 repeated matches during the tournament period which runs from 11 June-11 July.
The consortium clinched Television rights for the 2010 World Cup finals with the help of sports marketing syndicate Optimum Media Prime(OMP).
The trio also have the radio rights and outdoor and public exhibition of the World Cup matches.
The consortium will also show the Fifa Women's Under-17 and 20 World Cups to be staged in Trinidad and Tobago and Germany respectively.
