Egypt have recevied a major boost ahead of their clash with Ghana on Sunday in the final of the Africa Cup of Nations as hitman Emad Motaeb was named in their starting line-up.
The 26-year-old picked up a hamstring injury in the Pharaoh's 4-0 demolition job of Algeria in the semi-finals and was unlikely to form part of Hassan Shehata's plans for the final.
The Al-Ahly striker, who has attracted interest from English Premier League outfit Portsmouth, was forced to leave the field in the second-half against the Desert Foxes and he is likely to be replaced by Ahmed Raouf for the final as Egypt look to make it three successive Afcon titles.
But he has been named in the line-up to face Ghana which means he has overcome in the injury.
