Ghana striker Dominic Adiyiah turned down a bigger cash offer from Italian side Livorno to sign for AC Milan.

The revelation has brought to light the desire of Adiyiah to be succeed among the big clubs in the world.

AC Milan vice president Galliani is reported to have paid nearly one million Euros to sign the forward from his Norwegian side Fredrikstad.

But Livorno say they offered 1.5 million Euros which was turned down by the youngster as he wanted to play at the San Siro.

“We offered 500,000 Euros more than Milan, but the lad chose them," Livorno President Aldo Spinelli said.

"This is why we asked Galliani if he could be turned over to us on loan in January.

“He said there were some things to consider. I hope that, after they stole him from under our noses, they can do this little favour…

“We could really use him in the final sprint towards safety.”

The Ghanaian recently won Man of the Tournament, top scorer and the gold medal in the Under-20 World Cup, scoring eight goals.

The deal almost didn't go through and it was reported big clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United and Barcelona were in negotiations for Adiyiah.
