Kumasi, Oct. 12, GNA - The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of New Edubiase United F/C, Mr William Mensah has re-affirmed the Club's determination to make an impact in the nation's top flight Premier League competition.
The club will make its debut in the Glo Premier League competition on Sunday, October 18.
They travel to Accra to play Dansoman-based Liberty Professionals known as "Scientific Soccer Lads."
New Edubiase qualified for the elite league alongside Accra Great Olympics and Dormaa Aduana Stars in August, this year.
Mr Mensah told the GNA Sports in Kumasi at the week-end that the Club was aware of the misfortunes that befell some debutants in the past which was largely due to inadequate preparations and inexperience.
He said to avoid this, the Club has therefore recruited a number of experienced and talented players including Francis Jojo Bossman and Charles Vardis, former players of Accra Hearts of Oak, James Nanor of AshGold and Abubakari Yahuza of King Faisal to beef up the team.
New Edubiase has so far registered 35 players.
The CEO vowed that the Club would approach every match with all the seriousness it deserves and said the focus would not be on just beating Kumasi Asante Kotoko or Hearts of Oak, arguably the two glamorous sides in the country. Mr Mensah said to achieve the Club's objectives, Management would motivate the playing body and the technical team to give off their best.
He entreated the supporters to stand solidly behind the team, spiritually and materially.
