Former lady captain of the Tema Country Golf Club (TCGC) Florence “Scientific Lady” Etwi-Barimah won her second straight Monthly Medal prize in the second edition of the Lipton Monthly Medal at the TCGC on Saturday.
She returned an impressive net score of 75 to win the prestigious Bi-Monthly competition and for her efforts she took home a glittering gold trophy and boxes of Lipton Tea.
Etwi-Barimah was trailed by Grace Amoah (79net), Esther Antwi (79 net) and Kyoung Hwa Kim(81).
In the men's category, Solomon Ayornu, a single handicapper (4), finished first with a net score of 69. He took home a giant trophy and packs of Lipton Tea. J. Moore, Joshua Peprah and S. Afari finished second, third and fourth respectively.
The Brands Manager, Lipton (Unilever Ghana Limited) Eben Akyeampong revealed that Lipton are looking to involve the youth in the sport.
He pledged his company's continued sponsorship for competition and congratulated the winners of the 18-hole golf fiesta.
Meanwhile, action continues at the TCGC this weekend with the TIGO Tema Open.
