Citi 97.3 FM launches EPL

Citi 97.3 FM last Friday launched the 2009/2010 Barclays English Premier League EPL, ahead of the competition which rolls off on Saturday 15th August 2009.

The launch, the second in the series will see Citi FM broadcasting live uninterrupted action replete with pre and post matches reactions beginning this tomorrow till May 28, 2010.

The Accra-based radio station brings live radio commentary with its live feed in the England, will expose listeners to high class commentary from the best commentators in the World Including BBC's legend Alan Green, Sky TV's Martin Tyler, with expert analysis from former England coaches, including Graham Taylor.

According to Citi FM's Erasmus Quao, the EPL broadcaster will be heard on its partner stations like Boss FM in Kumasi, Sky Power in Takoradi and other affiliate stations across the country.

Chelsea and Hull City will set this year's ball rolling at 11.45 while Everton take on Arsenal at 4.30pm, both matches on Saturday 15th August 2009.

On Sunday 16th August 2009, defending champions Manchester United will take on Birmingham City at 12.39pm with Tottenham Hotspur playing Liverpool at 3.00pm.

City FM secured the radio rights to the World's most popular and lucrative soccer league last year, and they are being sponsored by Kasapa and the Coca Cola Bottling Company Ltd.
