Black Stars defender Harrison Afful says his lack of confidence in coach Hristo Stoichkov made reject a move to South African Premier Soccer League side Sundowns FC.
The 22-year-old was expected to sign for the "Brazilians" but retuned home on Tuesday night without a deal.
The Asante Kotoko player claims he rejected the idea of a short trial period.
"The management team was impressed but the utterances of the coach didn't make me feel at home," Afful told Ghanasoccernet.com
"I felt if I signed for them I will sit on the bench and that can affect me so I pulled out. I also objected to their decision to undergo trials.
"I will still wait and see what happens in the days to come. I'm not in a rush at all"
During the January transfer, the left-back was unsuccessful in securing a deal at Swedish side Helsingborg.
