Kumasi July 9, GNA - Ashanti Region on Thursday thrashed the Volta Region 4-1 in their semi-finals encounter of the Boys' Under-12 football match of the 20th edition of the Milo Schools Sports Festival played at the Prempeh College Park in Kumasi.

The victory was secured courtesy Joseph Agyei, Enoch Adu and Charles Boateng whose goals in the 15th, 26th, 34th and 65th minutes, respectively, ensured that Ashanti Region cruised to the finals of the competition.

Volta scored their only goal in the 28th minute through Aryee Akwettey.

Ashanti Region would thus meet the winner of the Eastern Region and Greater Accra semi-finals match which was underway at the time of filing the report.

On the way to the finals, Ashanti whipped Western Region 5-0, trounced Upper West 11-1 before succumbing to the Eastern Region 3-4.

In the Volleyball event, Agona-Swedru SDA Senior High School (SHS) beat Apam SHS 2-1 in the semi-finals whilst Fiaseman SHS accounted for Tema SHS 2-0 in the other match to set the stage for an uncompromising final match between Agona-Swedru SDA SHS and Fiaseman SHS which would be played at the Prempeh College Volley pitch.
