Kumasi, July 8, GNA -The Glo Premier midweek League match between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Sekondi Hasaacas which was to come off at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi has been postponed to Thursday, July 8 at 3pm following a heavy down in the Metropolis.
Even though both teams came to the pitch and warmed up for hostilities to begin, Accra-based Referee Joseph Lamptey after inspecting the pitch declared it unsuitable for the match.
The rain which started after noon had soaked the pitch so heavily that not even water sinking foams used by the Stadium workers could help mop up the water from the surface of the green grass to ensure the game was played.
