AKUNNOR IS DISSATISFIED Eleven Wise coach CK Akunnor has hit out at his players for meekly succumbing to Hasaacas in the Sekondi derby in the Glo Premier League on Sunday.
Striker Joe Agyemang Jnr nicked the only goal as relegation threatened Hasaacas got some relief but still remain in the exit mark.
The defeat was Wise's second in a row and seem to have lost their spark in recent outings.
They slipped at the Carl Reindorf Park against Liberty Professionals before falling to their city rivals.
They currently lie at the 11th position and any more slips could prove consequential to their dream of staying in the top flight.
"I am highly disappointed with the performance of my players and I was surprised at their output," Akonnor told Ghanasoccernet.com.
"We played as if nothing was at stake and am getting worried at the way my guys are playing.
"Hasaacas were not any better side but you football is about goals and if you get them, then nothing matters."
Wise have a difficult away tie against Ashgold at the Len Clay on Sunday and says his team must grind out the results.
"We need to get results because any more defeat could prove disastrous for us. If you look at the league table, any slip could send you down because every team wants to avoid relegation."
