The newly-appointed chairman of the Ghana Athletics Association, Prof Francis Dodoo says his immediate challenge is to restore the confidence of all stakeholders in the sport.
Prof Dodoo is one of many chairmen of some reconstituted sporting associations who will be inducted into office Monday together with their executives at the Ohene Djan Stadium.
He told Joy Sports that one of the best ways of ensuring rapid growth of athletics in Ghana is to groom a store of athletes who will always be in line to succeed the current generation.
He said it is equally important that coaches in the regions are well-remunerated and given better incentives to be able to churn out good athletes.
