Muntari’s father denies rancor with son

Black stars midfielder Sulley Muntari's father, Alhaji Sulley has described as false, media reports that there is bad blood between him and his son.

Media reports indicate that Muntari's father is unhappy with the player because he is dating a non-Muslim, Menaye Donkor.

According to reports, Alhaji Sulley is upset that his fiancé and her family are controlling the finances of the ace player.

Alhaji Sulley is said to be furious and has threatened to end the relationship between the two.

In an interview on the Citi Breakfast Show, Alhaji Sulley denied the claims and said “I don't have problem with my son. I have cordial relationship with my son so this is the first time I have heard that there is cold something between me and my son. No it isn't true”.

On the matter of his son's relationship with Menaye Donkor, Alhaji Sulley said though his son was “of age”, no official communication had been made to him concerning any plans concerning marriage between the two.

He however indicated that when such proposal is made, the necessary traditional rites and procedures will be followed to seal the bond.

Meanwhile, Muntari's father has advised his son to up his game or risk losing his place at his club Inter Milan.

Muntari's father who is a former player and a coach observed that Muntari performed below par in the Black Stars match against Benin and in the Champions League clash against Manchester United and has therefore advised that Muntari should improve in order to become a real force.
