Right To Play Volleyball Coaching Course opens in Accra

Education plays a very important role in the socio-economic development of every nation and without it no one can succeed

in life.
Mrs. Joyce Ashun, Country Manager of “Right To Play”, a non-governmental organization that uses sports to develop the skills of people especially children stated this at the opening of a volleyball coaching course for players selected from the national team and the University of Ghana at

Legon on Friday.
She said the NGO would continue to collaborate with various organizations in the field of sports to enable more children develop their talents

Mrs Ashun said the organization had trained more than 34,000 children for the past seven years and are working with 1,100 coaches in the Greater Accra, Eastern and the Northern Regions.

She expressed the hope that the participants would take their lessons seriously and build their career.

Bram Ronnes, European Beach Volleyball Champion from Holland who is also an Athlete Ambassador of the NGO and Course Director, gave an account of how he was able to achieve his feat.

He took the participants through various exercises in volleyball including aiming in the middle, thumbs up, maintaining distance and volley pass.
