The Achimota Golf Club President's Putter Open Championship tees off at it's Golf Course in Accra on Saturday, January 10.
Mr Kwabena Oteng-Aboagye, General Manager of the Club who announced this in Accra on Monday, said the one-day 18-Hole Medal Play event, which is open to amateur and professional golfers would be sponsored by Mr Mike Ezan, President of the Achimota Golf Club.
He said the event, which would be played in accordance with the rules of the Ghana Golf Association and the local rules of the Achimota Golf Club, is expected to attract more than 150 golfers.
Mr Oteng-Aboagye said some of the golfers expected to be seen in action include Dan Dennis, Mike Aggrey, Charles Tabi, Matthias Dorfe, Paul List, Daniel List and Mike Ben-George, all of the Achimota Golf Club.
The Ladies section would also feature prominent players like Clara Price, Esi Cobbina, Victoria Adjei, Yaa Konadu Safo-Debrah and Maria Ben-George.
Five prizes would be awarded in the Men's Division while three would be given out in the Ladies segment.
There would also be prizes for the 'Longest Drive on Hole 18' and 'Closest to the Pin on Hole 17'.
The President of the Club, Mr Ezan would deliver his New Year Message after the competition.
