NEW: Ghana Tourist Villas offers an unforgettable holiday and business experience in Accra.
On November 30, lovers of kick boxing will have much to cheer about, as members of the Ghana Kick Boxing Association will converge at the Ghana Prisons Canteen for a showdown.
According to Roosevelt of the Power Zone Club, the November 30 bill would feature all the best kick boxers in Ghana, and called on all lovers of the sport to be present to see the nation's next generation of champions.
He said kick boxing can take Ghana to greater heights and make the participants rich, but the sports authorities are not giving the necessary encouragement, while there are only a few promoters for the sport.
Another popular kick boxer, Joe Mingle, said there were so many youth in the country who wanted to take part in kick boxing, and called on promoters to come to the aid of the players, as they cannot train hard for no tournaments. He tasked the Minister Of Sports to ensure that all Ghanaians are satisfied with the sport they love to watch or play, as not everybody wants to play football.
“I was born a fighter, and I will fight till I die for mother Ghana. I just want to see the day I will bring down a crown for my fans to jubilate. I want to make the same name like Prof. Barima Azumah Nelson did for boxing. I want to plead with rich people in Ghana, who love sports, to promote the lesser-known sports like kick boxing,” he said.
