Former Ghana international Maxwell Konadu as joined Red Bull Soccer Academy as an assistant coach.
Before his appointment the former Asante Kotoko striker was with Premier League side Wa All Stars.
Konadu was recommended by the Academy's technical director Han Petr Schaller and will assist German trainer Daniel Heidermann at Under-17 side.
" It is the aim of every coach to have the right environment to work in and this was the side that attracted me to come here," Konadu told the club's official website.
" As a coach who wants to make it big, I think the challenges here and the platform offers a good ground for me to achieve my aim and objective as a former star.
" I heard a lot about the Academy and the day set foot there, I couldn t believe what I saw. Immediately, my mind was made up and I said to myself , this place is the right place for me as a football coach."
Konadu was a member of Ghana's 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games bronze medal winning team.
