THE RESHUFLED TEAM LACKED EXPERIENCE Ghana failed to hold on a first goal scored by Liberty Professionals' Yaw Antwi to lose 2-1 to South Africa in an international friendly

played in Bloemfontein on Wednesday night.

Commentary was live courtesy kickoff.com and if you missed the action, this is an opportunity to get all the details as they happened

MATCH FACTS

South Africa: Brian Baloyi-Siboniso Gaxa, Matthew Booth, Aaron Mokoena (capt), Tsepo Masilela-Teko Modise (Bryce Moon 89th), Lance Davids, Macbeth Sibaya (Kagiso Dikgacoi 64th), Siphiwe Tshabalala - Siyabonga Nkosi (Bernard Parker 64th), Benedict McCarthy (Terror Fanteni 89th)

Goals: Benni McCarthy 39 Bernard Parker 75; Yaw Antwi 37

Cautions: Tsepo Masilela Teko Modise; Daniel Yeboah

Referee: Kenias Marange (Zimbabwe)

FULLTIME: Bafana bring on SUBSTITUTES Bryce Moon and Terror Fanteni for Modise and McCarthy respectively.

85 mins: Dikgacoi heads straight at Dauda after good work from Tshabalala. David Addy is SUBSTITUTED by Emmanuel Ansong. Modise gets a YELLOW CARD for dissent.

80 mins: Poku is SUBSTITUTED and in comes Samuel Ayew. Quartey clatters Modise in an off-the-ball incident that is a little Chiefs vs Pirates niggle. The referee didn?t see it though (no surprise there).

75 mins: GOAL! Bernard Parker heads home from the corner and Bafana are deservedly back in front!

70 mins: Bafana get a free-kick on the right, but Tshabalala?s effort is cleared. Ghana almost catch them on the break, but the final ball is missing. Draman has an effort that Baloyi saves.

65 mins: Antwi almost grabs a second as he finds space, but his shot is straight at Baloyi. The floodlights on one of the pilons have gone out. Not a good sign, but the light looks good enough to keep on playing. Baloyi makes a good save from Owuso-Ansah. Sibaya is SUBSTITUTED by Kagsio Dikgacoi after picking up a knock, while Bernard Parker comes on for Nkosi .

60 mins: Modise is brought down on the edge of the area after a good run from Masilela. Tshabalala takes and Dauda is forced to tip it over for a corner, which Ghana clear.

55 mins: Quartey tests Baloyi from 35-yards but the goalkeeper holds on this time. More bad officiating as McCarthy is given offside when he was clearly about two yards on. I hope these officials are getting paid in Zim dollars because they don?t deserve their match fees!

50 mins: Badu is injured in a tackle with both Davids and Modise and needs treatment. Ghana waste the free-kick as it goes harmlessly wide. Masilela gets a YELLOW CARD for diving from referee Marange, one of the few decision he has got right tonight. Badu gets his revenge with a crunching tackle on Davids.

46 mins: The second half is underway, no changes on either side.

HALFTIME: Baloyi is having a shocker and spills the ball again. This time the Bafana defence can scramble the ball to safety. Modise hits the outside of the post with a cracking effort from 35 yards. What a goal that would have been! Bafana were definitely the better side in the opening 45 minutes, but Ghana hit them on the break go into halftime level.

39 mins: GOAL! Bafana go up the other end and score themselves! McCarthy clinically finishes good work from Modise on the right. 1-1!

37 mins: GOAL! Completely against the run Ghana score through Antwi! The South Africans are incensed as they should have had a corner at the other end. Baloyi spills the ball and Antwi has an easy tap-in.

35 mins: McCarthy gets a header on target from Mokoena?s free-kick, but Dauda saves easily. Baloyi gets a rare touch of the ball as a Ghanaian move breaks down. He hasn?t had a save to make yet.

30 mins: Quansah is injured after a hefty challenge from Sibaya and is replaced by Edmund Owuso-Ansah. YELLOW CARD for Daniel Yeboah after a cynical foul on Modise. Nkosi heads wide from the free-kick.

25 mins: Quartey shoots from all of 40-yards, an effort that sails well over the bar. A brilliant Booth ball finds Modise, but his cross is poor and Ghana clear. Modise shoots over the bar after more good work from Tshabalala. Modise and McCarthy combine well on the edge of the area, but the latter?s shot is blocked.

15 mins: Sibaya, who has looked good early on, has a 25-yeard shot saved by Daudu. Booth frees Tshabalala, who plays in Nkosi, but the latter?s cross goes out for a goal-kick.

10 mins: McCarthy is almost in with a chance again as he collects Tshabalala?s square ball, but is dispossessed at the crucial moment. Bafana look keen to use the flanks, while Ghana seem to be concentrating on attacking through the middle. McCarthy heads over from Modise's cross after the Pirates man was found by a beautiful ball from Sibaya.

5 mins: Badu has a first effort on goal that is high and wide. McCarthy almost gets on the end of a Masilela cross, but the keeper gathers.

1 mins: Incredible scenes before the first whistle as the two benches almost comes to blows over some paperwork that wasn?t filled in correctly. It appeared to involve Jairo Leal and a Ghanaian official. After a 10-minute delay while some paperwork was sorted out on the touchline, we?re finally off! It looked like some pretty petty officiating there while the South African bench were made to fill out their team-sheet again.
