CAF WANTS TO GET TOUGH The Confederation of African Football has written to Ghana Football Association demanding a confirmation of attacks on referee Coffie Codja in Kotoko's Confederation Cup match against Etoile in Kumasi.

The match commissioner's reports sent to the continent's football governing body incriminates Kotoko fans for assaulting the referee.

Codja had to escape the stadium after being dressed in red-cross outfit after the fans accused him for their 2-2 draw a fortnight ago.

Fans also pelted the referee and his assistants with sachet and bottled water. They were held hostage at the Baba Yara Stadium for close to an hour.

If found guilty, Kotoko, could face a fine and a home match ban as they play in next year's Caf Champions League.
