The newly-installed Ghanaian Premier League goal-king has been invited the Madrid-based side for assessment by their technical team.
Athletico are preapared to offer the Ghana international a permanent if they are satisfied with his form and medical report.
Bekoe last month turned down a trial move to German Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin and he is still hunting for a move to Europe before the transfer window end on 31 August.
He scored 17 goals wrapped up the league title for the Porcupine Warriors and scored the clincher that pushed them into the Confederation Cup Group stage.
It is however unclear whether he will miss the Black Stars friendly international against Tanzania on Wednesday.
