The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has asked 19 club officials and players to appear before it on Thursday 1 November 2001 in connection with protests for and against their clubs.
According to a statement signed by the secretary of the committee, all invited parties are to appear with the relevant documents for the speedy settlement of their cases. It added that any club or official who fails to appear before the committee will have its case struck out.
The invitees include the Eastern and Central Regional Football Associations and some local football clubs involved in the on-going premiere league.
In another development, instructors from Holland are expected to take part in the impending Residential Intermediate Soccer Coaching Course to be organised by the Global Sports Academy from 3 to 14 December 2001 at the Winneba Sports College in the Central Region.
They are Messrs Nico Labohm and Henricus Jozephus Walk. The ten-day coaching course, which forms part of the exchange programme between the Royal Netherlands Football Association and the Global Sports Academy of Ghana, is opened to coaches who have already undertaken a basic course in coaching. Participants are expected to pay a fee of 500,000 cedis to cover their boarding and lodging.
