Ghana striker Quincy Owusu-Abeyie is a target of French champions Olympique Lyon.
The 22-year-old impressed a scout of the French side during his outing for the Black Stars at the recent Africa Cup of Nations.
According to reports in the French media, Lyon are now keen on opening talks with his club Spartak Moscow.
Owusu-Abeyie, a former player of Arsenal, has been valued by his Russian club at $6 million.
Lyon are keen on boosting their attack following the departure of Hatem Ben Arfa to rivals Marseille.
Other strikers like Sidney Govou and especially Milan Baros could leave the club following interest from other European sides.
Owusu-Abeyie was unhappy over his stay in Russia and opted to move on loan to Spain by joining Celta Vigo.
Meanwhile, Spanish side Villarreal are already in talks to sign a deal with Owusu-Abeyie.
