South African referee to handle Ghana-Gabon clash

South African referee, Damon Jerome will be at the helm of affairs for Sunday's 2010 World Cup/Africa Cup of Nations qualifier involving Ghana's Black Stars and the Azingos of Gabon.
Jerome, 36, a professional teacher will be assisted on the lines by compatriot Enoch Molefe Tshotleho and Celestin Ntagungira of Rwanda for the Group Five duel billed for the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra next Sunday, June 22.
Information gathered by the GNA Sports indicated that another South African, Ncobo Andile Aldrin would be the fourth referee with Liberia Football Association Chairperson, Wesley Sombo Izetta as the Match Commissioner.
The quartet was last week in Bujumbura, where they handled the Burundi-Tunisia Group Nine clash of the 2010 World Cup/Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
Jerome, considered as one of the foremost match officials on the continent was in charge of the Ghana-Cote d'Ivoire third place match during the 26th MTN Africa Cup of Nations, whilst the pair of Molefe and Ntagungira assisted Coffi Codjia of Benin in the grand finale between Egypt and Cameroon of the Ghana 2008 in Accra.
