Harrison Afful has praised God for making it possible for him to be selected into the senior national team, the Black Stars during the just-ended 26th MTN Africa Cup of Nations.
The young Kotoko defender against all odds made it into Coach Claude Le Roy's 23-man squad for the tournament in which Ghana won bronze.
Afful is convinced that his selection into the team was through the intervention of the Almighty God, hence the strongest need for him to show his appreciation to Him.
“There were so many quality foreign and local players around so for me to be selected among the final 23 is the doing of God”.
The elated Afful made the remarks when he visited some churches in the Garden City last Sunday to offer his thanks to his Maker.
Afful first worshipped with the KNUST Baptist Church, and then to Ahodwo Pentecost, ending his tour with a grand church service at Adum Methodist.
The multi-talented defender who is the toast of Kumasi fans called for God's continual blessings and guidance for him to reach tops in his career.
