Ghana's Black Starlets may be in contention for their third World Under-17 title but they have had an unimpressive record in the Fair Play contest, as the second side to attract the most card.

Lying behind Tunisia on the caution table, the Starlets have attracted 12 yellow cards and a red card which came the way of Francis Boadi in last Wednesday's epic clash against Brazil.

Tunisia, who were eliminated at the Round of 16 by France last Wednesday, top the table with 14 yellow cards and two red cards.

Germany are third with nine yellow and a red card while Haiti who went out at the group stage, are fourth with eight yellow cards and a red card.

Interestingly, Nigeria are among the teams with the least card having attracted just three yellow cards in their four matches played so far.

Japan and Costa Rica who have both been eliminated are tops with just two cards each.

Despite Ghana's poor record on the Fair Play chart, top striker, Ransford Osei remains in contention for the Goal King Award, second on that chart with four goals.

The chart is topped by Nigeria's Chrisantus McCauley who has five goals and with both sides progressing into the quarter-finals, the competition could be more keen.

As at press time yesterday, five players were on three goals each, Sadick Adams joins the 18 players who have so far scored two goals each with as many as 65 players including Isaac Donkor's crucial winner against Brazil, Kelvin Bossman and Ishamel Yartey having registed a goal each.
