NEW: Ghana Tourist Villas offers an unforgettable holiday and business experience in Accra.
The Asokwa Youth for Education (AYED), a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), has organised a three-hour Peace Walk through the principal streets of Kumasi on Sunday.

Some political parties and their activists including the New Patriotic Party (NPP), National Democratic Congress (NDC), Peoples National Convention (PNC) and the Democratic Reformed Party (DRP) took part in the walk.

It was aimed at creating awareness among Ghanaians on the need to ensure peace in the December 7 polls.

Addressing the participants after the walk, Mr Iddrisu Keegan Ahmed, Programmes and Liaison Officer of AYED, said “politics is just a game which can only be played by you and me to make it lovely and recounting”.

He therefore stressed the need for Ghanaians to understand and ensure peace and not to see the elections as a war and urged the people to promote peace and live together as one people with love and a common destiny.

Mr Ahmed said “the people have a choice to make by respecting our divergent views and not to see each other as enemies and we should not allow ourselves to be blindfolded by deeds which would end up making life unbearable for us all”. The Programmes Officer appealed to Ghanaians to be hopeful and confidence and go to the pools on December 7 with a clear conscience, respect and dignity devoid of violence.
