Heads of Junior High Schools (JHS) who would be found registering unqualified candidates for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), would be made to face the full rigorous of the law

Mrs. Dinah Appiah, the Atwima Nwabiagya District Director of Education, who gave the warning, explained that it was wrong for head teachers to register any candidate outside their school or students in JHS one or JHS two to take part in the BECE.

She was addressing teachers from the Nkawie and Toase Education Circuit, at a monthly meeting to deliberate on issues pertaining to welfare of teachers and education, on Wednesday at Toase.

Mrs. Appiah advised the teachers to be abreast with the New Education Reform and sensitize the public on the programme through school management committees and parent-teacher associations.

She advised school authorities to organize periodic in-service training for teachers to update their skills in teaching methods to enhance their delivery.

Mrs. Appiah commended the teachers for working hard to promote education in the district and urged the head teachers to ensure effective supervision of teaching.
