The Nkoranza District Directorate of Education has organised a five-day training workshop to educate about 250 headteachers on the syllabus for the new educational reforms programme.

Topics treated centered around English language and mathematics, social studies, basic design and technology, creative art, Ghanaian language, French and building and technology.

Mr Kwabena Agyemang-Badu, District Director of Education asked the participants to organise in-service training courses for their teachers, so that they could impart the knowledge they had acquired to them.

He commended the government for providing adequate text books for all subject areas of the new educational reforms programme.

Mr Agyemang-Badu emphasized that the success of the reforms depended on teachers and urged them to redouble their efforts, and offer selfless services in its implementation.

He urged the government to consider the plight of teachers and arrange for better remuneration to boost their morale in offering quality education service delivery to students.
