Tema, July 31, GNA-The Member of Parliament for Tema East, Mr. Ishmael Ashitey on Saturday presented assorted drinks, a trophy, football jerseys and two footballs, worth 50 million cedis and 10 million cedis cheque to the Tema Traditional Council as his contribution towards this year's Homowo festival.
He said the jerseys, footballs and trophy are meant for the games during the celebration to bring unity and peace in the area.
In addition he has also arranged with a sight screening team. which will arrive next week to screen the people at New Town and promised to ensure that others in the constituency also benefit from the exercise. The MP expressed his commitment to the development of Tema Manhean and hoped the people would also give him their support to achieve that goal.
The Tema Mantse, Nii Adjei Kraku II, receiving the items, expressed his gratitude to the MP for the kind gesture.
