Akim Ofoasi, Mar. 31, GNA- A branch of the Young Elephant, a youth wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was inaugurated at Akim Ofoasi with a call on members to win more supporters for the ruling party. The Deputy Eastern Regional Minister, Ms Suzzy Mensah, who inaugurated the branch said politics was about numbers, hence the need for them to attract people who defect from other political parties. She urged the branch executives to be transparent in all their dealings and not to be power-drunk to enable them achieve their set goals and objectives.
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ofoasi/Ayirebi, Mr David Oppon-Kusi asked the members to let discipline be their watchword.
The Regional NPP Youth Organiser, Mr Richard Amofa advised them to be abreast with Government's policies and programmes to be able to educate the people against misinformation. 31 March 05
