The Incumbent member of parliament and parliamentary candidate (PC) for the ruling National Democratic Congress or NDC for the Salaga south constituency in the East Gonja district of the Northern region Alhaji Ibrahim Dey Abubakari has appealed to the people of the area to give him and the ruling NDC party a second chance to enable him continue the good works he started.

He said the Mahama lead administration has done a lot for Ghanaians especially the people of the Gonja land and therefore deserves a second chance.

Alhaji Dey as he is popularly known made the appeal when addressing thousands of party supporters during his campaign laugh at Salaga.

According to him, the constituency for the eight years under president mahama and the NDC has realized development which has never happened before.

He said he has been able to built 35 schools in the constituency, drilled over 64 mechanized boreholes, extended electricity to many communities, provided portable drinking water for the people since becoming MP for the area.

" we gave water to the people, we drilled a lot of boreholes for the people in this constituency. When you come to education, we built not less than 35 schools, we have about 17 getfun schools" he said

He also said also plans are far advanced for the creation of three more Districts for the people of Gonja land.

" Inshaa Allah from 2017 to 2018 three more districts will be added in the area, salaga will be a district, Aburiwanche will become a district and salaga south will also be a district" he added.

On his part, the deputy northern regional minister and PC for Sagnarigu constituency, Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini called on the people to reject Nana Addo and the NPP completely in this year's elections.

He said what Nana Addo and his party promises to offer Ghanaians are not achievable.

Tasking the people to vote massively for president John Mahama and all the NDC candidates in the area so that they can complete the good works they started.

Honourable Dey also donated five out bord motors and eight motor bikes he received from E&P to facilitate transportation on the white Volta lake at mankango and also help constituency executives to do their campaigning with ease.
