Zuarungu (U/E), Sept. 28, GNA - Mr Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Bolgatanga East Constituency, has launched his 2016 campaign team with a call on the constituents to renew his mandate for the forthcoming general elections.

Launching the campaign at Zuarungu, Mr Ayine, who is also the Deputy Attorney General, said within his one year tenure of office as MP, the Constituency had recorded unprecedented development projects.

The National Democratic Congress Member of Parliament said apart from lobbying and facilitating with other government agencies such as the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Power, he had used his own resources to finance many of the projects.

'For instance out of the twenty three boreholes constructed under my administration, I spent my own resources amounting to GHC 36,000 to construct ten of them', he said.

He said the Government has initiated many pro-poor policies and programmes including considerable physical development projects which were impacting positively on the livelihoods of many Ghanaians.

Mr Ayine said the Government has laid down a strong economic foundation for the growth of the country and urged all Ghanaians to renew the mandate of President Mahama to enable him continue to deliver on his good policies.

Mr Albert Abongo, the Upper East Regional Minister, said there is the need for unity to prevail among the constituents and entreated also those who feel they are aggrieved to bury their differences for the sake of the party.

He called on the members of the party to work hard to ensure that the party wins both the Parliamentary and the Presidential elections in the Constituency.

He also urged the regional constituency executives and the John Mahama (JM) Ladies to work hard towards achieving the agenda 'fifteen -fifteen' which focuses on ensuring that the NDC party wins all the fifteen seats in the Region.
