WITH ELECTION less than three months away, the National Women's Wing of the opposition New Patriotic Party(NPP) is intensifying its strategy aimed at catching young and first time voters with the "Restoration of Hope" message.

The National Women's Organizer, Mad. Otiko Afisah Djabah, has embarked on a number of moves to canvass more support, particularly from female voters, in order to ensure victory for the NPP in the upcoming.

Amongst the strategies being adopted by the NPP women's leader include the organization of Town Hall Meetings to interact with women associations and professionals such as traders, hairdressers, seamstresses, etc to encourage them to actively engage in political activities.

Another strategy is the revitalization of the Girls Girls Action For Nana Addo, a group that involves active and energetic young girls who have dedicated themselves to the cause off the NPP.

The group is set to embark on series of campaign activities including house-to-house and door-to-door campaigning, media advocacy programmes as well as other outreach activities.

Members of the group have already undergone communication skills and organization training to build their capacity to be able to work efficiently.

They are also expected to appear on radio political talk shows to participate in discussions under the auspices of the NPP women's leadership.

Speaking at one of the training workshops held at the Beauty Queen Hotel in Kumasi, Mad. Otiko Djaba said the trainees would be expected to extend the knowledge acquired to their respective constituencies.

She pointed out that programme would also tackle the long held negative perception about the party and people from northern descent, stressing that members must take the responsibility to counter the negative propaganda of the NDC.
